First of all, forget the food pyramid. It was built off a scheme to get money by selling people lots of bread, it has very little to do with actual healthy eating. A real healthily proportioned plate should look something like this:

Please be aware that some vegetables or fruits, such as salad and apples, are largely water or air and therefore you will need more of them to get the same amount of vitamins and minerals. Make sure you eat plenty of healthy fats. You need to eat fat to get certain nutrients and to feel full. However, eating processed fats such as trans fat is very bad for you. In general, the less processed your food is, the better. This applies to carbs as well. As always, stay healthy and see you next time.
